After processing the application, you will be sent a Letter of Acceptance which will state that the College s willing to offer you a place on the course website subject to the payment of the tuition fee After processing the application, you will be sent a Letter of Acceptance which will state that the College is willing to offer you a place on the course subject to the payment of the tuition fee in full or by two instalments, the conditions of which will be stated in the Letter. For the convenience of overseas students, the Letter will give an estimate of the cost of maintenance per year so that foreign exchange may be obtained.

Letter of enrolment/(Registration Confirmation letter)

Upon receipt of the full tuition fee or the first instalment of the fee, the College issues a Letter of Enrolment (LOE) to overseas students stating that a place has been reserved on the course. Students already in the UK are issued a LOE only after the payment of their full tuition fee.

Visa application

For students wishing to obtain Entry Clearance before coming to Britain, the following guidelines have been drawn up after consultation with Embassy officials:

Visit the British Embassy/High Commission in person and take the following documents with you:

1. Letter of Enrolment from the College, which states that tuition fees have been received by the College and a place reserved on the course.

2. Any other relevant documents sent by the College.

3. Your passport.

4. Documents showing the availability of funds in pounds sterling to cover the cost of living in the UK.

5. Original copies of relevant academic certificates already obtained.

6. Documentation to demonstrate that you have the intention to leave the UK after completion of studies.

Students are strongly advised to make sure that they understand the visa regulations and conditions.

Foreign Exchange

Overseas students who require a student visa must be able to prove to the British Embassy or High Commission that they have funds available in pounds sterling to pay for tuition fees and expenses during their stay in the UK.

Foreign Exchange Approval

Some students obtain foreign exchange from the Central Bank in their country. To get exchange approval, students require the Letter of Acceptance from the College which states the tuition fees due and the estimated cost of living, including costs of accommodation, food, travel, books etc.

Personal funds

Some students have personal funds in their sterling account or in their guardian's account. A bank statement showing the amount should be in the student's possession before he/she applies for a student visa.

Student sponsorship

Students are sometimes sponsored by friends or relatives residing in the UK or some other country. Two documents are required from the sponsor to satisfy visa requirements:

a) The sponsor's bank statement showing funds in pounds sterling and

b) a sponsorship letter stating that the sponsor will finance the student's education including living expenses during the student's stay in the UK.

How the college may assist

Students may send their maintenance funds along with the fees to the College. The College will then issue a letter stating that maintenance funds have been received and will be released according to the College regulations.
